Useful. Got to start somewhere and break through the fear factors.
Also, there’s the perhaps unexpected phenomena of third world populations taking to mobile phones in great numbers…and the gradual penetration of smart phones into that arena…and smart phones are little but still powerful computers.
Apparently people teach each other how to “do it”? Is it the kids in the neighborhood that show the adults how? There was that story about how in India, computers were kind of placed in parts of very poor areas where kids would find them, and somehow manage to teach themselves how to use them, and find learning activities.
Then there’s the stories about toddlers picking up iPads and “rocking out” without help from adults on how they “work”.
