PSA has not explored PME prior, but there have been times when training in the military has garnered praise for its effectiveness working with what might be called “raw recruits” in many aspects. Often that includes HS dropouts, and teenagers formerly at risk for drug use, incarceration and the general malaise of “not having a future”.
Since having good to very good outcomes with that cohort is rare in civilian life, one presumes they are doing things with training that are cutting edge for “best practices”.
Turns out their MO has a name: Professional Military Education Pedagogy…and one can become certified in their practices. Which could be notably different than say getting a teaching certificate from a college or university. Military students lives are very constrained outside of a “classroom” which might play into their success as well,… depending on how those constraints interact with learning activities.

As has been noted elsewhere, developing AI is one undertaking, while distribution and implementation is another. Perhaps these seminars could help us understand some of how the implementation part can be done, at least in one context. Plus, one can imagine it would open up a fruitful approach for innovation in how we do school.
Note Bene: FGDLA Certification includes a Badge.
