“Citizens will be able to research without restraint to discover countless important details about the project that will affect their lives and livelihoods in critical ways far into the future,” Moorer said.
Commissioners will appoint two members of the committee from each of the county’s five districts plus an 11th member selected by the chairman, selected from letters of interest submitted by an Aug. 31 deadline.
Which side of the “Yes” or “No” political divide the committee will lean towards is TBD.

Both sides made their presence felt at a recent Public Forum on the new Jupiter Data Center.
The Commissioners will appoint the new committee… and at least until recently were mostly on the “Yes, let’s do it for economic reasons” side of the discussion.
The committee’s recommendations are “just advisory” and it will be up to the full County Commission to approve, change, or disapprove.
One presumes that the Committee’s report will be public and available, so depending on the “findings”, political momentum might be generated for or against. There are currently signed documents in place between Project Jupiter and Doña Ana County which might not be changeable.
