John, thanks for adding this post. I was testing my “feedly” reader on my phone to see how I could send links to other social media while mobile.
Also, I have noticed that Gary will sometimes send links to our emails. I have wondered if he wants those links posted on the PSA site. You generally do post them. Perhaps we need a code to signify that links sent to our email should be posted on the PSA site.
Generally if I send a link to your e-mail (s) it is for one of 2 reasons:
1) I am not sure the subject is right for the PSA site and I want to leave the decision to you or
2) I find the link while on my phone and don’t know a really simple way to post to PSA. I don’t pretend to know the technology, but some sites have a “post via e-mail” capability.
There’s likely a plug in for this feature available for WP sites. My experience so far is that all plugins are problematic; for one thing they kept getting updated, and the updates sometimes introduce new bugs.
Or, I may have tried it already and found some problems with it.
For this, and time/energy requirements reasons, not presently working on it. If it becomes an obvious need, someone could request it in the future, and we might see about adding it.
When I click on my email notification, I go to the website and can make a comment. Another approach, I can look at my feed both on the desktop or mobile “feedly” and I am directed to the site to reply.. need to log in. Not sure how to reply directly from email.
